James "Jim" Russell Colbert, 86, of Ola, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 at his home.  The son of David and Clara Sandel Colbert, he was born September 5, 1934, in Washington, DC.  He was a United States Air Force Veteran of Korea.  He was a General Forman with Architect of the Capital.  He was a devoted and loving father and pop-pop.   Jim was a member of the Gideon's International, Past Farm Bureau President of Yell County for 10 years, past chief & lifetime member of West Lanham Hills Volunteer Fire Dept., MD, served as Press Box Manager for the Washington Redskins, school bus driver for Ola School District and a member of the Arkansas Tree Farmers Association.  Jim was a faithful member of the Ola First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.   As well as serving his home church at Ola First Baptist Church, James enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the Redskins and Hogs and working on the farm.

 He was preceded in death by his wife Lena Mae Colbert; his parents and a grandson, Adam Lee Young, a brother, Lewis Colbert and his mother and father in law, Elvia and Robert Baunton.

Jim is survived by two sons, Randy Colbert (Kelly) of Slanesville, WV; Russell Colbert (Monica) of Alpena; two daughters, Sheree Burnett (Bruce) of Ola; Jamee Young (Tony) of Centerville; 12 grandchildren, Christopher Colbert; Brenton Colbert (Heidi); Jimmy Goldsborough (Katelyn); Joseph Goldsborough; Cody Young (Brandlynn); Austin Young (Macey); Holly Young; Brett Young; Savannah Cole (Jordan); Rusty Colbert; Wesley Colbert; D.J. Colbert; 18 great grandchildren; a brother, Alvin Colbert and other relatives and friends.         

Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Humphrey Chapel.  Bro. Richard Lodwick will officiate.  Burial will be at East Point Cemetery in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service.
