It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Jerrod Lee Branch. Jerrod, a beloved member of the Russellville community, passed away on March 24, 2023, at the UAMS Hospital in Little Rock. He was 35 years old.
Jerrod will be remembered for his kind heart and infectious smile. He brought joy to the lives of those who knew him. Although his passing has left a void in the hearts of many, his memory will live on.
Following a private family committal in the Chapel of Light, Jerrod's remains were cremated by the J. Herman Humphrey Dignity Cremation Center. A family visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at Humphrey Funeral Chapel. A private family interment is planned at Appleton Cemetery.
Jerrod was born on September 20, 1987, in Russellville, to Franklin and Penny Lynn (Gray) Branch. He married his loving wife, Megan Nicole (Woody) Branch (USMC), on October 11, 2008, in Norfolk, Virginia. Together they have a beautiful daughter named Kaida.
Jerrod was preceded in death by his mother, Penny Barkley; a brother, Joshua Branch; and three of his grandparents: Bill Gray, Wanda Gray, and Mary Branch. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Megan Branch; two brothers: M. Heath Barkley (Callie), and Eric Barkley (Megan) all of Russellville; his father, Franklin Branch of Appleton; his step-father, Michael Barkley (Carla) of Dover; his grandfather, Jerry Branch; and many nieces and cousins.
Jerrod graduated from Hector High School in 2006 and went on to serve three years as an aviation technician in the United States Navy. He was a skilled artist who specialized in pencil drawing and had a passion for being a content creator on YouTube. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends, fishing, and camping.
We will never forget Jerrod's contagious laughter, his kind spirit, and his unwavering love for his family. Rest in peace, Jerrod. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
