Joe T Long, 73, of Russellville, died Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. The son of Jack and Bonita Marie Coley Long, he was born September 3, 1946 in Corpus Christi, TX. He married Linda Long, on November 24, 1967 at Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a United States Navy Veteran of VietNam. He was a supervisor with Dow Chemical. He was a devoted husband of 52 years, loving father, and proud grandfather. His humor will never be forgotten. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed tropical fish aquariums, building and working on cars, and spending time with family especially when it was time to decorate the Christmas tree. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Ricky Long.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Long of Russellville; son, Ronnie Long (Linda) of Clute, TX; two granddaughters, Brooke Cope (Josh) of Jones Creek, TX and Keely Vega (Josh) of Conroe, TX; two grandsons, Riley Long and River Long, both of Angleton, TX; two step-grandchildren, Brigid and Ryan Linveit; three great-grandchildren, Kimber and Reef Cope of Jones Creek, TX, Copeland Vega of Conroe, TX; three brothers, Mike Long, Jack Long and Lee Dunn; two sisters, Bonnie Prater and Mona Calloway; four nieces, Catrina, Jacina and Catrianna Prater, Lauren Long and his mother in law, Wanda Foster.
