Lawrence Steuber, 94, of Dover, went home to be with his Lord Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. The son of Charles Steuber and Clara (Harms) Steuber, he was born September 24, 1926 in Augsburg. Lawrence worked on the family farm from a young age with his family, but when war broke out he enlisted in the United States Army. After honorably serving his country during World War II he came back home to Augsburg and married the love of his life, Regina Hogrefe on April 29th, 1950 in Augsburg. Lawrence and Regina started their lifelong journey as dairy farmers, rising early in the morning to tend to the farm. A few years later their son, Dennis, arrived in whom they instilled the values of hard-work and love for God and family. The Steubers are life-long members of the Zion Lutheran Church in Augsburg. Lawrence will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his wife Regina (Hogrefe) Steuber; his parents; brother, Ed Steuber; and sister, Esther Neimeir.
Survivors include his son, Dennis Steuber and wife Marla (Ragsdale) Steuber; grandson, Christopher Steuber and wife Heather (Bramlett) Steuber; and his sister, Dorothy Birkhahn.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church in Augsburg. Pastor Darrell Kobs will officiate. Burial will be at Augsburg Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church from 1:00-2:00PM.
Pallbearers are Dennis Steuber, Christopher Steuber, Larry Ragsdale, Gary Hogrefe, Cody Hogrefe, & Garrett Steuber.
