Leamon L. Parrish, 95, of Hector, died Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Russellville. A son of Loyd and Opal (Prince) Parrish, he was born August 16, 1924, in Appleton. He spent most of his working career as a cattle farmer and chicken grower. He was a member of the Welcome Home Free Will Baptist Church.
Leamon was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 75 years, Evelyn Parrish; a son & daughter-in-law, Kenny (K.P.) and Nancy Cochran Parrish; three granddaughters, Amanda White, twins Lana Beth & Shawna Beth Parrish; and a great-great grandson, Braxton Huffman.
He is survived by his daughter, Nelda Owens of Centerville; a son, Glen Parrish (Sharon) of Hector; four grandchildren, Lisa Gray (Billy), and Tracy Lusk (Ronald), both of Russellville; Jonathan Parrish (Casey) of Clarksville; Kay-leigh Harris (Tyler) of Hector; ten great grandchildren, Chris Gray (Natasha), Heather Huffman (Matt), Jennifer Rice (David), Kristen Nuckols (Justin), Seth Lusk (Brianna), Ben Lusk (Kristen), Chloe Parrish, Lily Parrish, Lorie Parrish and Cole Parrish; nine great-great grandchildren, Heylie Gray, Devin Nuckols, Zane Gray, Cole Huffman, Kashton Gray, Quinton Chronister, Klair Burns, Bristol Nuckols and Kamryn Lusk; a half-brother, Jerry Parrish (Jettie); a good friend, Frankie Branch; and many nephews & nieces.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, February 6, 2020, at Welcome Home Free Will Baptist Church. Troy Coffman and Ronnie Molloy will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Wednesday at the funeral home. Active Pallbearers include: Chris Gray, Zane Gray, Seth Lusk, Ben Lusk, Chris Vincent and Gary Ray Andrews. Honorary Pallbearers include: Frank Branch, Raymond Hays, Tyler Harris, Jonathan Parrish, Devin Nuckols, Cole Huffman, Kashton Gray and Quinton Chronister.
