Loneta is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Harris (Jimmy) of Atkins; two sons, Flint Rodgers (Debbie) of Atkins; and Jody Rodgers (Michael) of Vilonia; seven grandchildren: Amanda Duvall (Philip), Jordan Harris (Lyndsey), Jesse Harris (Ashlynn), LeeAnne Race (Seth), Marisa Galloway (Thomas), Clayton Rodgers (Sarah) and Anthony Rodgers; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, James Terrell Rodgers; a grandson, Nathaniel Flint Rodgers; a sister, Lillian Everett; and three brothers, Almon Darrell Shipley, Alva Shipley and Ansol Shipley.

Well-known in our community for her service to Pope County as Deputy Tax Collector for 15 years, Loneta was a model citizen who served those around her with passion and purpose.  While her public service meant much, her greatest fulfillment was always found in her family and her church home.  Loneta was a member of the Bethany Missionary Baptist Church of Atkins, where she taught Sunday School and served as the church clerk and treasurer.

Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren brought her much joy.  Whether it was fishing with her grandsons or cooking her loved ones a festive meal to share together, she drew much strength and comfort as the matriarch of her family.  You would also likely find her weeding the vegetable and flower gardens that graced her yard during the growing seasons.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home, 220 John Babish Lane, Russellville, AR 72801, who took such compassionate care of Loneta in the final days her life. Internet obituary and on-line guest book are available at www.humphreyfuneral.com.
