Lou Ella (Meimerstorf) Metz

Lou Ella Meimerstorf Johnson Metz, age 91, died Sunday June 21,2020, at Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 4, 1929, in Russsellville, Arkansas to Willie Meimerstorf and Laura Poynter Meimerstorf.  Lou was a member of the Church of Christ in Ozark and 5th and Greenwich in Russellville. She worked thirty years for International Shoe and Frolic Footwear. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and traveling. She loved to cook and made wonderful rolls and tea rings. Every Christmas each of her children received a tea ring.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Daren Johnson and Harold Metz; infant sister Violet Lucille; sister Bonnie Higby; brothers Bob Meimerstorf and Paul Meimerstorf; son-in-law Bill Bolin; granddaughter Linda Tullous; great-granddaughters Alexandria Bolin and Hunter Bolin; step-great-granddaughter Savannah Hurley; sisters-in-law Bonnie Meimerstorf and Helga Meimerstorf and brothers-in-law Walter Renfroe, Bill Bowden and Tommy Martin.

She is survived by children Linda Bethel, Maria Bolin and Dr. John Johnson and wife Judy; brother Frank Meimerstorf; sisters Helen Renfroe, Patricia Bowden, Mary Martin and Judy Hale (Delbert); brother-in-law Doug Higby; step-children Robert Metz (Karen), Donna Evans (James), Cheryle Sullivan (Carl), and Susan Poulos (Pano); grandchildren Rhonda Richey, Ronnie Bethel II (Tina), Donnie Bethel (Jennifer), Jeremiah Bethel (Tiffany), Tiffany Taylor (Richie), Billy Bolin (Sarah), Dr. Clay Johnson, and Sarah Fitzerald (Brad); step-grandchildren Vicki Hurley (Mark), Pamela Smith (Charles), Mary Evans, Christopher Evans, Gary Metz, Rob Metz (Junella), Candace Sullivan, Jordan Sullivan, Nicholas Poulos (Tavia), Joshua Poulos, and Savannah Poulos; eleven greatgrandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

Graveside service for all family will be at Hagarville Cemetery under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Serving as pallbearers will be Alec Bolin, Brett Bolin, Ronnie Bethel, Donnie Bethel, Dr. Clay Johnson and Sarah Fitzgerald. Honorary Pallbearer will be Tiffany Taylor.
