Lucy Faye (Humphreys) Randall

January 9, 1925 ~ November 12, 2020 (age 95)

Lucy Faye Randall, 95, of Plainview, fought a good fight, kept the faith, and finished her course on Thursday, November 12, 2020, surrounded at home by those she loved and who loved her dearly.  A daughter of James Arnel & Oma Caroline (Tillery) Humphreys, she was born January 9, 1925, in Hollis, Arkansas.

Faye spent her life as a wife, mother and homemaker for her family.  She was the last of the five original charter members of the Plainview Jesus Name Church.  She was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost & fire, and never wavered from her faith.  Above all, she faithfully loved and served her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ; working with children and teaching Sunday School for more than 30 years.  She enjoyed cooking and quilting, but mostly having precious children around her.  She especially loved her children who called her “Mama;” her many grandchildren who called her “Mammaw;” and her church family & friends who called her “Sister Faye.”

Faye was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Herbert Randall; a grandson, Jeremy Barnett; three sisters: Lela Lane, Hazel Johnson & Doll Freeman; a brother, James Humphreys; and a son-in-law, Everett Caldwell.

Her family that remains to cherish the memories of her life of love & faith include her son, Thomas L. Randall (Linda); four daughters: Pat Bless (Larry), Polly Caldwell, Lillian Barnett, and Donna Harrison (James); her seven grandchildren: Mark, Terry, Leanne, Scott, Kristi, Cindi and Jayme; her 12 great grandchildren: Anthony, Jennifer, Drew, Rachel, Graham, Madeleine Faye, Oliver, Kayce, Connor, Chase, Taylor and Shelby; and her 2 great-great grandchildren: Lucy and Jagger.

A graveside service & burial will be held on Monday, November 16, 2020, at Goat Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.  Bro. Stacy Lisenbey and Bro. Rick Humphreys will officiate.  The family will hold a memorial service at a later time.
