Margaret Ann Gunter, 72, of Hagarville, Arkansas, died Monday, January 16, 2023, at Baptist Health Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Following a private family committal in the Chapel of Light, cremation arrangements are under the direction of the J. Herman Humphrey Dignity Cremation Center in Russellville, Arkansas.
The daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Claire (Layes) Fritchie, she was born March 8, 1950, in Scranton, Arkansas. She married Aaron Clettus Gunter, on March 20, 1971, in Scranton.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Jason Craig Gunter. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Clettus; their two daughters, Vanessia Carpenter (Erin) of Elkins, Arkansas, and Melissa Sarten (Steve) of Magazine, Arkansas; two sisters, Betty Dugan and Mary Downs; a brother, Bill Fritchie; and her grandson, Eli Carpenter.
Margaret enjoyed watching hummingbirds, spending time with her grandson and family, and growing a vegetable garden with her husband.
