Marjorie Sue Siler, 83, of Russellville, AR, passed into glory Friday, August 21, 2020 at Legacy Heights Nursing Home in Russellville. The daughter of the late Archie and Edna Mae (Davis) Jones, she was born December 31, 1936 in Ringgold, LA. She was married to the late Harold Richard Siler. The couple enjoyed countless RV camping trips to the Lake Ouachita area where they cherished the natural beauty of the outdoors together as avid fishermen. Sue was fond of shopping trips to local stores, where she doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at every opportunity - all of whom loved “Granny” dearly. Along her travels, she collected several keepsakes including miniature bells and trinkets. Sue had a love of genealogy, spending her time at libraries researching and learning of her family’s history.
Mrs. Siler is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Richard Siler; her daughter, Dianne Siler Edwards; and her parents.
Mrs. Siler leaves behind her three granddaughters, Laura Melton and husband Daniel of Cabot, Stephanie Lane and husband Jesse of Cave Springs, and Melissa Edwards of Fort Smith; five great-granddaughters, Emilia and Annelise Melton, and Nora, Ruby, and Mabel Lane; Nolan Edwards of Russellville; and numerous loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and family.
The family will hold a private graveside service at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville. Jesse Lane will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the River Valley Food 4 Kids Program, P.O. Box 1808, Russellville, AR 72811.
