Patricia Ann Sheppard, 89, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born July 2, 1931 in Tyrone, Pennsylvania.
She married Floyd A. Sheppard in September 1953 and as a pastor’s wife she served with him closely in pastoral ministries for over 50 years. She was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church and Women’s Ministries of Russellville, Arkansas, the Havana Presbyterian Associate Reformed Church, and Ruth Robinson Circle of Havana, AR, and recently attended the Fellowship Bible Church in Russellville, AR.
She was a registered nurse and graduated from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1952 and worked for 27 years in the nursing profession. In her nursing career she worked as a doctor’s office nurse, a community hospital director of nurses, a clinic nurse, a school nurse for 5 years in Baytown, TX, was a LPN instructor at Petit Jean Vo Tech in Morrilton, AR, and was the assistant Director of Nurses at Stella Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Russellville, AR. Patricia was a loving faithful friend and most of all a strong praying wife and mother, wanting to give honor with her life to her savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by four children, Becky Frederick and husband Rob of West Palm Beach, FL, Libby Bradley and husband Bill of Mundelein, IL, Timothy Sheppard and wife, Renee of Waco, TX, and Tom Sheppard and wife Virginia of Russellville, AR; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A private family graveside and burial will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Rev. Bob Manry will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.humphreyfuneral.com
