Richard “Rick” Devon Henry, 69, of Mountain View, Arkansas, formerly of Dover, died Saturday, January 8, 2022, at his home in Mountain View.  Services are Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Humphrey Funeral Home & Chapel in Russellville, with burial to follow at North New Hope Cemetery in Dover.  Visitation with the family will be one-hour prior beginning at 1:00 PM.

Rick is survived by his wife, Bethany Henry of Mountain View; a daughter, Heather Freeman (Jason) of Russellville; a son, Travis Chadwick (Jessica) of St. Joe, Arkansas; two brothers, Douglas Henry (Nance) of Goodyear, Arizona, and Thomas Henry (Jeannette) of Mountain View; two sisters, Nancy Sue Feldt (Brent) of San Antonio, Texas, and Barbara Henry of Price, Utah; five grandchildren: Malorie Hudson, Presley Hudson, Mackenzie Hudson, Lilly Chadwick and Zoe Chadwick; and many other nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Scott Henry; a brother, John Henry; and a grandson, Devon Henry.

The son of Houston and Margaret Louise (Craig) Henry, he was born December 20, 1952, in Austin, Texas.  He married Bethany (Rowland) Henry on March 17, 1990, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  With a mutual love for photography, they took many hiking & caving expeditions searching out waterfalls and spelunking places, far away from city lights where he could also photograph the vast expanse of the Milky Way Galaxy.  He enjoyed white-water rafting and holds the distinction of being in the group that successfully maneuvered the Snake River in Idaho during a snow storm.  Whether it was heralding gun rights with the NRA, riding his Harley-Davidson, hang-gliding off a mountain slope or scuba diving deep under the surface, Rick loved to stretch the limits in many facets and adventures of his life.

Rick was a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Master’s Degree in Management.  He served 12 years in the United States Navy and later began his career as an IT Manager with Entergy in the nuclear industry.

The family would like to invite memorial donations be made in Rick’s name to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
