Roy Tillman, Jr.

Roy Tillman Jr., age 88, of Dardanelle, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020, at his residence in Dardanelle. The son of Joseph and Stella Cofer Tillman, he was born Sept. 17, 1932, in Yell County. He married Wanda (Findley) Tillman on Jan. 3, 1954. For more than 40 years, Roy was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Centerville where he served as a Deacon. He was also a Mason and a Shriner. One of his great passions was hunting quail.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Frances Tillman and Betty Banks.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Wanda Tillman; sons, Paul David (Karen) Tillman and Stephen Roy Tillman, both of Dardanelle; daughter, Lisa Tillman of Little Rock; and grandson, David Joseph Tillman of Rogers.

John David Keeling will officiate a private family graveside service, with burial at New Hope Cemetery in Dardanelle, under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home, 220 John Babish Lane, Russellville, AR 72801.
