Toshiko Gardner, 91, of Dover, passed away, Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock. The daughter of Unokici and Miyo (Yabusaki) Onda, she was born February 17, 1930, in Tokyo. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Catholic Women's Organization and St. John's Catholic Church. She enjoyed nurturing her grandkids, gardening, crocheting and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Gardner; her parents; siblings, Noboru Onda and Tokiko Pelfree.
Toshiko is survived by two sons, Edward Gardner (Michelle) of Dallas, TX; Thomas Gardner (Mary) of Dover; 11 grandchildren, Joseph Raymond Gardner; John David Gardner; Nikki Hill; Dane Gardner; Adam Gardner; Brooke Gardner; Lauren Greer; Hauna Gardner; Nadia Gardner; Keiko Gardner; Blasé Gardner; 13 great grandchildren and a brother, Minoru Onda (Mieko).
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at St. John's Catholic Church. Father Ernie Hardesty will officiate. Burial will be at McFadden Cemetery in Dover by Humphrey Funeral Service. Rosary will be held at 06:00 pm visitation will follow until 8:00 pm, on Monday, at the funeral home.
