Ute Dolch Day, 80, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Saturday April 30, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. There will be a visitation on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 2:00-4:00 PM, at Humphrey Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are with the Herman Humphrey Dignity Cremation Center.
Ute is survived by her husband, Bobby Day; her sister Elke Brumley; sons Cliff Puckett and Greg Puckett, and daughters-in-law Lisa Puckett and Anna Olsen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernst Max & Gudrun Maria (Goetz) Dolch; her sister, Gudrun; and two brothers, Gernot and Volker.
Ute was born in 1941, in Karlsruhe, Germany, growing up in the nearby town of Sinsheim, Germany. She moved to the United States in 1962, proudly becoming a U.S. citizen, where she worked as a professional translator and lovingly raised two boys. Ute and Bobby moved to Russellville in 1989 where she lived until her passing. Ute was an avid gardener, lover of classical music, and an accomplished amateur historian, with special interest in the American Civil War.
