Wanda Jay Foster, 92, of Russellville, died Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at her home. The daughter of Lee and Myrtle (Cagle) Cooper, she was born November 23, 1928, in Russellville. She was a graduate of Hector High School and spent her working years in the packing department with International Shoe. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed flower gardening, working in her yard, taking rides down beautiful countryside lanes, reading history and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Lee Foster; her parents; a grandson, Ricky Long; her son-in-law, Joe T. Long; a sister, Jan Esch; and a brother, Johnnie Cooper.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Long of Russellville; a grandson, Ronnie Long (Linda) of Clute, TX; four grandchildren: Brooke Cope (Josh), Keely Vega (Josh), Riley Long and River Long; two great grandchildren: Brigid and Ryan Lienviet; three great-great grandchildren: Kimber Cope, Reef Cope and Copeland Vega; a sister, Ruth Romines; and a brother, Gearl Cooper, both of Russellville.
A graveside service to celebrate Wanda’s long life and rich legacy will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Rest Haven Memorial Park with burial following under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home, 220 John Babish Lane, Russellville, AR 72801.
