It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Wanda Lee McEntyre. Wanda was more than just a name on a piece of paper; she was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the lives of everyone around her. She passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Johnson County Regional Hospital in Clarksville, AR, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Born on February 2, 1936, in Russellville, AR, Wanda was the daughter of Marvin and Daisy Lee Canady Osborn. She dedicated her life to serving others as a nursing assistant and found joy in caring for those in need. Her accomplishments were not limited to her professional life; she was a devoted wife to J.W. McEntyre and a loving mother to her daughters, Teresa Balanger and Paula McEntyre (Jack).
Wanda was also a proud grandmother to five granddaughters: Julie Vaught, Pam Christian (Todd), Miranda Williamson, Evi McEntyre, and Ava McEntyre. She was thrilled to welcome Justin Rofkahr, Ali Rofkahr, Jerryn Vaught, Drayden Ree, Matthew Robinson, Makayla King, Tyler Jackson, Corey Carpenter, and Jessica Williamson into her life as great-grandchildren.
Wanda was a woman of faith and a devoted member of the Westside Full Gospel, where she co-pastored from 1993 until 2017. She found joy in fellowship with her church family, shopping with the ladies from church, and browsing yard sales. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. McEntyre, her parents, a daughter, Pamela Balanger, two brothers, Charles and James Osborn, and a sister, Mary Lake.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Westside Full Gospel Church, with Rev. Louis Bennett and Rev. David Rayburn officiating. Burial will follow at West Mount Zion Cemetery in Clarksville, AR, by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday at the church.
