William R “Junior” Freeman, 95, of London, AR, died Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at his home. The son of William and Roxie Ann Langford Freeman, he was born August 14, 1926, in Russellville. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II and a Carpenter-Builder with Junior Freeman Construction. He attended Martin Chapel Assembly of God and had previously served as deacon and taught the Adult Sunday School Class at Flat Rock Assembly of God. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Parker Freeman, his parents, and a grandson, Matthew Jernigan.
Survivors include three sons, Anthony Freeman (Linda), Flat Rock; Larry Freeman (Debbie), Lamar; Glen Freeman (Betty) Flat Rock; a daughter, Nancy Jernigan (Alex), Donalsonville, GA; nine grandchildren, Randy Freeman (Bonnie) , Flat Rock; Michael Freeman (Amanda), Flat Rock; Sandy Williams (Michael), Bentonville; Christie Sexton (Mikey), Clarksville; Tiffany Shaw (Cody), Flat Rock; Blake Freeman (Kesley), Flat Rock; Erin Simmerock Woodside (Austin), Athens, GA; Emily Simmerock, Charlottesville, VA; Lenton Jernigan, Donalsonville, GA; six great grandchildren, Katelynn Freeman, Flat Rock; Keyston, Hudson, and Adleigh Freeman, Flat Rock; Jordan Phillips, Springfield, MO; Haley Sexton, Clarksville;
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Humphrey Chapel. Burial will be at East Point Cemetery in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Full military honors will be provided by Rogers-Rye Post of the VFW. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Friday, at the funeral home.
